The Herts Steam & County Show
3 & 4 June
Standalone Farm will play host to this year’s Hertfordshire Steam & County Show. This annual event showcases Steam Engines, Vintage Vehicles, Classic Cars and more. The event brings excitement and education to the general public.

Free Forest School
Exclusive Annual Passholder Event
25 – 25 June
Are you an Annual Passholder?
Yes…great! All our passholders get access to our passholder-only Forest School for free. Simply book a spot through our online booking page and on the day of the event make sure you have your annual pass or pass number ready to show our staff.
At our Forest School there will be lots of fun forest activities! We have teamed up with forestry experts Down the Woods, who will guide little ones on setting up a hammock, there will be digging and pullies, you will get to create your own hapa zome (a Japanese form of art using real leaves hammered into fabric) and there will be story time with puppets to finish.
This is an annual passholder only event. To attend please book using the annual pass number on the back of your card and present valid annual pass on arrival to the event.
Suitable for ages 3 years +
1-hour session
These sessions will take place in The Woodland Trail. This is an outdoor space so please make sure you are dressed for all weathers

Get up close to some creepy crawlies and amazing wildlife this Summer.
If you missed him over Easter there is another chance to see the world’s best animal wrangler Mark Amey! He will be back this Summer with a fact-filled demonstration showcasing different animals from across the globe.

Forest School
14 – 18 August 2023
Discover nature with our Forest School.
Educational forest exploration group, Down the Woods, will be back to host a selection of fun-filled forest activities, including making mini animal dens, story time, creating your own clay hedgehog and a safari in the woods using binoculars and magnify glasses to identify lots of creepy crawlies.

21 – 25 August 2023
Jellyfish Theatre, the team behind ‘The Wagon of Dreams Show’ last year, are returning to Standalone with a performance of their adaptation of The Jungle Book.
This is Jellyfish Theatre’s take on the classic story of Mowgli and how he grows up in the jungle befriending animals. It is designed to be a production suitable for all little ones and the show will include elements of sign.
