We are thrilled to welcome Green Care at Norton to Standalone!
Green Care at Norton is a wonderful Letchworth-based not-for-profit initiative. Using allotment gardening, Green Care aims to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with loneliness, unemployment or who are socially excluded through mental illness, learning difficulties or deprivation.
Working with Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation, Green Care have opened a brand new allotment site here at Standalone to provide a safe space for vulnerable and lonely adults to learn new skills and make new friends. What can you spot growing?
In the field, you’ll see seasonal fruit, vegetables and flowers which are grown ethically and organically without the use of artificial pesticides or herbicides.
Much of the delicious produce is available to buy in our Gift Shop. All the fruit, veg and flowers are reasonably priced and much of the profits will go back towards supporting Green Care at Norton and their amazing work. You don’t need to pay to visit the farm to simply pop into the Gift Shop to buy what you like!

We need your help!
Green Care at Norton need volunteers to help them on their plot at Standalone Farm with weeding, harvesting and grounds maintenance. Help us keep this fantastic cause going by volunteering for a couple of hours per week.
