Frequently Asked Questions

Covid 19

To visit Standalone you will need to book your tickets online, in advance whether you are a day visitor or an Annual Passholder. You will be able to select a morning session from 10am - 1pm or an afternoon session from 2pm - 5pm.

The farm will be closed between 1pm - 2pm to carry out additional cleaning.

You will still be able to see your favourite animals from a safe distance and enjoy the play area, model railway, and gardens.

Our café is open for takeaway drinks as well as ice cream, plus our outdoor picnic area is set up for you to enjoy your packed lunch. Hot food and snacks won’t be available for the summer season.

Play equipment is still in use, but we have a new system in place to ensure all children get a chance to play while maintaining social distancing. However, some activities won’t be running, such as tractor rides, and enclosed spaces including the barns and sandpit will be closed. That’s why we have reduced the ticket price for day visitors.

With most of our enclosed spaces being shut, please check the weather before leaving home and bring umbrellas, raincoats, hats, and sun cream, depending on what is forecast.

For your comfort and safety, we have added extra toilets in the courtyard (this is in addition to our existing toilets).

We are also unable to take any cash at this time. All payments for our Greenway Cafe and Snack Stop will be taken via card or contactless payment. We are also unable to provide any change for the electric cars or Model Railway so be sure to bring some coins with you! It is £1 for the electric cars and 20p for the Model Railway.

You can still see all our animals, your little farmers can enjoy the play equipment, and the model railway, gardens and outdoor picnic area all remain open.

In line with Covid-19 restrictions the indoor barns, sandpit, gift shop, tractor rides and animal demonstrations and handling will be unavailable. Our Greenway Café is open for takeaway drinks and ice-cream only.

We have met government and industry Covid-19 guidelines and have been certified as ready to open our farm to the public.

A one-way system will guide you around the farm and we have sanitising and handwashing stations in place. Floor markers will keep you at a sensible distance and we will monitor children when using play equipment.

You can visit us with the confidence that we have achieved the 'We're Good to Go’ industry standard!

We will make a note of your personal information so that we can comply with government guidelines on track and trace. This means if someone who visited the farm is diagnosed with Covid-19, we can easily contact everyone who visited during the same time slot.

If you or a member of your household have Covid-19 symptoms, or test positive for Covid-19, please do not visit Standalone Farm. Please follow the government guidelines on self-isolation in place at the time of your proposed visit.

Please respect other customers and make sure you are socially distancing around Standalone. To ensure that social distancing measures can be followed we have significantly reduced capacity at Standalone Farm.

There is also a one-way system to lead you around the farm and signage to remind visitors to keep 2 metres apart.

The play equipment will also be monitored to ensure that 8 little farmers have a go at one time in 10 minute slots.

We have increased the frequency of cleaning at Standalone Farm. The play equipment will be cleaned at 10-minute intervals and in-between ticketed time slots, from 13.00-14.00, the farm will close for a deep clean.

In line with government guidelines face coverings should be worn in all enclosed areas of the farm, excluding children under the age of 11 and those who are medically exempt.

As you enter Standalone Farm from the car park there is a foyer where you will need to show your ticket- we ask that visitors wear a face covering when inside the ticket foyer.

Standalone Farm staff will receive Covid-19 awareness training and PPE will be worn where our risk assessment has highlighted that it will be required.

We have also installed plastic safety screens at our tills, where social distancing cannot be maintained, to keep staff and customers safe.

Food and Drink

Our Greenway Cafe is currently closed in line with Covid-19 restrictions however, takeaway drinks and snacks will be available from the cafe window in the courtyard area.

We will also be offering takeaway drinks and snacks from our new Snack Stop which is located in our courtyard area by the brook.

Accessibility

We’ve worked hard to make as much of our farm as easily accessible as possible. We are a working farm and some areas may have uneven or muddy terrain, especially in the winter months. We have step free access to the main building, gift shop, Greenway Café and courtyard. There are disabled toilets onsite, located just outside the shop as you enter. We offer disabled parking bays and our staff are on hand to help.

For our hearing-impaired customers, we have installed a hearing loop system in the Greenway Café and gift shop.

Visitors with a disability and carers can enter Standalone Farm for free, when they show photographic proof. Please email info@standalonefarm.com if you have any questions.
