Solar Viewing Event
We are inviting our Annual Passholders to an exclusive Solar Viewing event hosted by the Letchworth and District Astronomical Society (LDAS). As we know the sun is incredibly bright and hurts your eyes to look at but using specialist equipment, members of the LDAS will guide you as you safely observe the sun…a truly unique and rare experience!
This event will be weather dependent and the sun isn’t always very active but you can hope to see the sun in real-time with sunspots, coronal ejections, swirling filaments, and the bubbling surface. We will observe the sun using different filter methods which we will view on a large screen TV. There will be LDAS members available to explain what you are seeing and will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
